If you’re looking for a characterful and authentic flooring option, consider the Kingsford Engineered Distressed Antique Reclaimed Oak Handscraped Wood Flooring. Each plank stands at 190mm wide and 15/4mm thick. The length is 1.9m fixed. The Kingsford designers elected a distressed flooring finish to create an overall look of drama and density. This makes this flooring a sturdy addition to any room that needs a hint of intrigue. From a country kitchen to a modern, cosy living room, this reclaimed oak flooring is also suitable for commercial use. With a V Groove Bevelled Edge, and a Tongue and Groove edge, installation is straightforward and efficient. The product is also backed by a 25-year manufacturers warranty. Engineered wood floors are generally easier on the wallet than solid wood floors, but that doesn’t mean you are compromising on quality. Instead, you are opting for an alternative that is equally attractive, but thanks to how it is crafted, even more environmentally friendly. Plus, because this is reclaimed oak flooring, it is even better for the environment. This oak flooring from Kingsford binds together layers of durable wood, fixed together in such a way that the end result is even stronger. This isn’t to mention the protective finish that the wood is also treated with. Furthermore, engineered wood flooring is able to withstand any sort of deformation that certain temperatures and levels of humidity may cause other types of flooring. The result is a flooring plank that is stable and long lasting, and able to withstand normal, everyday usage. You can enjoy reclaimed oak flooring in your own home or property without the costs usually involved in purchasing floors of this aesthetic. You can also choose between two different methods of installation. The first option, all-over adhesion, is generally very low-noise. The second option, however, and that of floating the floor, is particularly quick and easy thanks to the planks Click system. With all of the products from our engineered floors range, there is no need to worry about the finishing touches. We can supply with you all related items like door thresholds, beading, stair nosing and pipe covers. These will always match or closely match whichever flooring you opt for, and can be delivered simultaneously. One pack of Kingsford Engineered Distressed Antique Reclaimed Oak Handscraped Wood Flooring covers 2.83, and you can either use the above calculator or give us a call to figure out how much you’ll need for your project. ENGINEERED FLOORS

Engineered wood flooring can be installed in two different ways: by all-over adhesion or in a “floating-floor-type” installation. An advantage of all-over adhered engineered wood floors is that they are comparatively low-noise, because vibrations and hollow sounds are largely eliminated. Thanks to the convenient CLICK system, the installation of engineered wood boards, as a “floating floor” is particularly fast and easy to do even without any previous knowledge and has become the most popular method of installation.

When an engineered floor is floated this in normally done on top of an underlay and if the subfloor is concrete then this underlay should contain a moisture barrier or a DPM (damp proof membrane).

We can also supply beading, door thresholds, pipe covers and stair nosing to match the flooring we supply. This will add the finishing touches to your floor.

SOLID WOOD FLOORS

Solid wood floors can be installed using two different methods: by all over adhesion or by secret nail installation.

If the subfloor is concrete the recommended method would be an all over adhesion installation where each individual plank would be glued to the subfloor. If an underlay with a vapour barrier is needed you could also use a self-adhesive underlay available in our accessories category.

If the subfloor is wood then you could use the secret nail installation method, which would secure the planks to the subfloor, and you can do this using an underlay if you prefer to add any protection to the product.

To add finishing touches such as beading, door thresholds, stair nosing we also offer a range of solid oak accessories in different colours and finishes to match different products to add a better visual and more professional touch.

LAMINATE

Thanks to the convenient CLICK system, the installation of laminate boards as a “floating floor” is particularly fast and easy to do even without any previous knowledge and has become the most popular method of installation.

When laminate flooring is ‘floated’ this is normally done on top of an underlay and if the subfloor is concrete then this underlay should contain a moisture barrier or a DPM (damp proof membrane) .

We can also supply beading , door thresholds , pipe covers and stair nosing to match the flooring we supply this will add the finishing touches to the floor.

VINYL

We sell a variety of different brands and each comes with its own fitting instructions. Many vinyl products require specific adhesive. Incorrect adhesive can potentially negate any manufacture guarantee.
