  • Engineered Emperor Flooring

Characterised by its high-end finish, durability, and country living charm, our range of Emperor flooring is the perfect addition to any property. If you want to give your living area a lift with an authentic wood style, we recommend that you invest in a durable, long-lasting Emperor wooden floor.

Engineered flooring is the perfect, affordable alternative to solid wood flooring. One of the biggest is that its multi-layered composition means that it is ideal for areas of the home where moisture is present, such as shower rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens.

Composed of a core board of layered HDF, the material is bonded together under intense pressure to create an insulating surface that reduces the opportunity for buckling. The veneer sits on top of the core board and is usually 2mm-4mm thick. Our range of Emperor flooring is available in Oak, which is considered to be one of the strongest and most eco-friendly species on the market.

One of the material’s main advantages is its strength and durability, which helps to decrease the chance of buckling. Maintaining the flooring is incredibly easy – you can use a vacuum cleaner, mop, or broom to collect dust, grit, and crumbs which could cause a build-up of dirt or potentially damage the surface.

Installing an engineered wooden floor is incredibly easy as they come fitted with a tongue and groove system. Begin by inspecting your subfloor to check for any uneven surfaces which may cause issues during installation. Make your way from one corner of the room and carefully connect the planks together. You may need to slightly tap the panels together using a hammer to ensure that the pieces are fully connected together. Use painter’s tape to temporarily secure the boards together. Ensure that the planks are staggered side-by-side (approximately 6 inches) to create a fully stable surface.

Remember to maintain a 15mm gap around the perimeter so that the flooring has room to expand. This can be hidden by a wooden trim around the border of the room.

Here at Poshflooring.co.uk, we have a wide range of flooring available to suit all styles of home and satisfy all budgets. Our flooring comes with a generous guarantee so you don’t have to worry about how long your flooring will last. If you have any questions about renovating your home, our experienced team can reassure you on what kind of flooring would be most beneficial for your home.
